It’s finally happened ..!

We’re in to our own home ..!

Yes, it’s true the rumors you have been hearing are true. In the August meeting the membership of VFW Post and its Auxiliaries voted to proceed with dialogue with the property owners. Our Post Officers and building committee following rules and guide lines set down by the post membership have been able to get an arrangement worked out for us to purchase this property. The property is located at 520 S. Phelps Street in Apache Junction (the old Famous Sam’s building). This property is right behind the building we have now. With out getting into a long list of details – the main important ones are as follows:

A). The building is about the same size as the one we are in now

B). It is located on 1.47 acres

C). We will be getting said equipment inside of building

D). Our target date to be in the new building is no later than 1-1-10

As normal we will have all the facts, figures and agreements available to any paid up member to look over at the Post with a set up appointment. Here’s where you come in - we need your help !! As you know things have really been a little tough on everyone these last few years, for both individuals and businesses. We need you to stand up and help your post buy this building – we need your donation to the post building fund. Although, it’s not going to cost us as much to move into this building as the last move, we are still going to spend a little and need your help with the down payment/purchase money. Remember your donation to the post building fund is a tax write off. So, therefore as a proud members of VFW Post 7968 and for all we do to help veterans, their families, youth and the local community. We are asking for your donation in making this dream come true. Our set goal for this to become a reality is $200,000.00 by 12-30-2010 or sooner. Thank you in advance for your consideration and help on this matter.
